We are looking for a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical role in ensuring all healthcare providers meet regulatory and organizational standards. This position requires a strong understanding of credentialing processes and excellent organizational skills. This is a 100% ON SITE position. Contract to Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Review and verify provider documentation, licenses, certifications, and other required credentials.

• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate timely completion of credentialing and re-credentialing applications.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the credentialing database.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in provider documentation or credentials.

• Ensure timely submission of credentialing applications and monitor their progress to avoid delays.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address credentialing-related inquiries.

• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to maintain compliance.

• Assist in developing and improving credentialing policies and procedures.

• Proven experience in credentialing, including provider and physician credentialing processes.
• Familiarity with re-credentialing applications and related documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with providers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with credentialing databases and related software.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
