Dynamic Solutions Technology, LLC , a premier strategic services firm that meets IT and Service needs for commercial and government clients, is seeking a full-time Data Scientist II to support a DoD customer based in San Diego, CA .

Responsibilities

• Work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently.
• Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
• Develop and implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
• Create dynamic data reports.
• Assist with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Python and R, and use packages commonly used in data science applications.

Qualifications Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• OR Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant focused experience.

Relevant Industry Certifications

• Examples include: CompTIA Cloud Essentials, Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA), Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH), Certified Apache Hadoop Developer, Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE).

Experience and Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python and R, and data science packages.
• Experience with data mining, statistics, graph algorithms, SQL, NoSQL, API building, ETL pipelines, web servers, and search indexes.
• Knowledge of programming tools such as Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests.
• Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts.
